Housing community designed for the Strip District in Pittsburgh. Project sought to break rigid directionality of surrounding area while encouraging community interaction through the creation of intentional areas for congregation. The design also focused on stormwater control and erosion prevention by implementing a water channel that brings in the Allegheny river as well as terracing throughout the site. This leads to an intimate connection between the housing units and the landscape, as all of the site components are arranged according to the striations across the site.
