Final Project: Portal

For the final project, I decided to make a replica prop gun from the Portal video game series. This would ideally be used in a future costuming project by one of my siblings. The fabrication process of the gun went through several iterations, and future iterations of the gun would work towards a more polished final product.

The barrel of the gun was made out of PVC tubes that were cut down with a Dremel. A foam mat was cut into rings to support the inner tube within the larger one, as well as forming the rings in the front. The center clear section was cut down from a repurposed Smartwater bottle. The claws were made from lasercut acrylic, and the wires were made from craft wire. The shells were cut out of foam and heat formed into the final shape.
