Project Based Learning School

Project Based Learning school located in East Liberty neighborhood of Pittsburgh. School design sought to create "studio trays" which created overlapping spaces between each classroom space.  This spatial layout allowed for a lack of hierarchy in learning spaces, variable ceiling heights for different projects, and connected studio spaces. This is ideal for a student-focused, project-based learning curriculum because it allows for discovery and student owned spaces. Program requirements included nine studio spaces, fabrication shop, project resource center, teacher offices, principal/medical suite, loading dock and cafeteria space.
