Camera Obscura: OCULUS

OCULUS seeks to create an immersive discovery environment focused on the study of optics. Through the use of movable panels and a variety of surface geometries and textures, multiple projection conditions have been created. The walls, incorporate a sliding track that allows for users to engage in manipulating the apertures within the room, for a hands-on experience of how a camera obscura works. Thus, both students and visitors can start to see East Liberty in a new perspective that highlights prime views of the neighborhood and with greater appreciation.
