Cup holder designed for Moody Judy, Inc., a company distributing artisan t-shirts to angsty teenagers. Client requested a cup holder using single piece of acrylic that would reflect the aesthetics of their artistic consumers. Product is a sturdier, reusable alternative to a paper jacket normally seen on coffee cups constructed from 1/8” translucent acrylic. The piece was laser cut and then bent around a plaster mold of the cup using a heat gun. Design was first prototyped out of corrugated cardboard after a round of sketched ideas.
